The Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) Leader is responsible and accountable for establishing a purchasing solution for RSM that will add value to RSM and RSM Alliance members within the first year and will achieve full scale within 5 to 7 years.
This new program will be powered by a network of suppliers designed to meet the needs of RSM and/or Alliance Members, providing significant cost savings and greater access to quality services and products by targeting over $300 million in annual spending.
Establish and facilitate an Alliance Member Advisory Council that will both advise RSM on the solutions to include, and help drive Alliance Member adoption
Inspire excitement across the member base for the GPO, and convert that excitement into use of the GPO
Capture Alliance Member feedback on the GPO and find ways to continuously improve its offerings and operations
Partner with RSM Purchasing and/or the Product Solutions team to enroll suppliers in the GPO
Determine the right business and legal structure for each supplier targeted for the purchasing solution (e.g., participating entity agreement, reseller agreement)
Assist in securing supplier buy-in and negotiating contracts
Ensure financial value of the purchasing solution for all involved parties – Alliance Members, Suppliers, and RSM
Establish and monitor key metrics of success for all involved parties (both financial and non-financial)
Develop and ensure execution of remediation plans if/when expectations are not met
Align with other RSM leaders and teams as needed (e.g., to provide clear, consistent messages to suppliers about RSM priorities)

Bachelor’s Degree required
Strong financial and business acumen including P&L and financial analysis experience required
Ability to negotiate and create consensus where appropriate with internal groups, clients and strategic partners required
10+ years of experience with group purchasing organizations and/or supplier management/procurement preferred
Superior skills and ability to present and communicate effectively with C-level executives required
Knowledge and/or experience with professional services firms, ideally in tax, accounting and/or technology preferred
Ability to thrive in ambiguity and define and execute goals and objectives within an evolving business strategy required
