This position is dedicated to support our office in Highland Park, IL. You will work side-by-side with a senior trader.
Required Qualifications
· Knowledge and experience dealing with futures contracts on fixed-income and interest rates
· Quantitative analysis of spread trading strategies of the yield curve
· MUST have deep programming experience in at least one: MATLAB, R, Python, C++, C#, VBA. This is absolutely essential
· Strong understanding and experience with practical application of statistics: hypothesis tests, confidence levels, simulation
· BS, MS, or PhD in an analytical/quantitative related field of study
· Superb analytical and mathematical skills
· Ability to work successfully in a fast-moving and competitive environment
· Self-starters with strong interpersonal and decision making skills
· Willingness to work within given risk management guidelines
What you'll do
· Leverage quantitative analysis skills: analyzing large datasets of fixed income and interest rate prices; building statistical models; back-testing trading strategies; optimization
· Develop, maintain and enhance trading models, algorithms and systems
· Trade a range of financial instruments
· Research new market opportunities leveraging varying techniques
· Compute estimated End of Day PnL
· Analyze and solve discrepancies in trade positions
· Oversee and improve daily processes as needed
· Produce report for trading and trading management
This can be part or full time position. $20-$30/hour DoE, plus discretionary bonus.
