PURPOSE: The Technical Sales Intern will partner with and support the Technical Sales Representatives to gain real world technical experience in the field with Lincoln Electric customers. Various locations across the U.S. available.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES):
Provide updates on new machine and/or consumable products
Ensure the Lincoln Electric product is predominantly displayed and work with District Manager to make improvements
Recommend new items for distributors to stock
Address any problems/questions with distribution partners
Promote Lincoln Electric product at distributor Open Houses throughout the region
Train distributors on new products
Promote Lincoln Electric product to end user customers by increasing safety, quality and productivity
Assist Technical Sales Representatives on training the end users on new products
At times, interns may be asked to train distributors on our products and participate in Trade Shows. These opportunities may require travel and overnight stays.
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a Business related degree
Basic knowledge of sales and customer service
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be highly motivated and self-confident
Saturday and some evening work
Overnight travel may be required
Minimum GPA of 2.8
Desire to work in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis
