The architect is responsible for defining the architecture of enterprise software systems, selecting technologies, promoting development practices, technical leadership, advanced development support, and mentoring of associates.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
Determine the strategic and tactical direction of our front and back-end architecture.
Design and architect new cloud products from the ground up in a collaborative environment
Partner with the Enterprise Architecture team to synchronize on technical initiatives
Define reference architectures for systems managed by the Web Team and build a design repository of these architectures
Interact with the application architects to interpret and promote architectural patterns.
Design and implement features that wow and excite our users
Effective planning, testing, implementation and administration of interactive technologies, websites, applications
Mentor junior developers, which may include performing code reviews and troubleshooting issues when they arise
Collaborate with your team in brainstorming, designing and implementing new solutions.
Drive adoption of new technologies and suggest tools, technologies, and best practices to improve our stability, performance and site quality.
Create, maintain and update internally and externally built websites, mobile, and marketing apps
Maintain effective working relationships with internal personnel and external agency partners.
Keep up with the latest cutting web architecture edge trends
Provide proactive direction for advancement of web architecture
Act as web support escalation
Required Experience

Bachelors degree with minimum 7 yrs of work experience or Masters degree with 5 yrs experience
Minimum of two years of progressive experience in applications development
Understanding of cloud technologies and hands-on experience on cloud based web app development is a big plus. (Azure, AWS, etc)
Experience working within an Agile Scrum development framework is a plus
Experience with build & release automation is a plus
Strong unit test & test automation skills are a plus
Strong MongoDB/DocumentDB/Cosmos skills are a plus
Experience in C#, DotNetCore, ASP.NET/MVC/WebAPI, Entity Framework (legacy and core), JQuery, Angular (2-4) + TypeScript, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft VSTS

Other preferred experience:
MongoDB, HTML5, T-SQL/SQL Server, WCF, CSS, Typescript, SASS

Experience with cross-cutting concerns such as:
Asynchronous messaging patterns.
API management techniques/strategies
Migration of on-premise applications to the cloud/developing cloud ready applications.
Monitoring approaches for enterprise applications
Logging/exception handling
Optional Experience a plus

eCommerce experience, including payment gateways, checkout process.
CRM experience (Salesforce, other) and Marketing Automation platforms (Pardot, Marketo, etc)
