The Payments Compliance (PayCom) team in Facebook is a global team responsible for protecting the Facebook Payments platform and ensuring compliance with a wide range of global BSA processes, such as Sanctions, Anti-Money Laundering, Know Your Customer (KYC) programs. Regulated payments is a core area of support and our small and global team operates compliance programs across Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, Identity Verification and Due Diligence for Facebook, Instagram, Oculus and WhatsApp. We need influencers who can support operations teams in regulated and unregulated verticals, who ensure the safety of our platforms. The Data Analytics team is looking for a Product/Data Analytics Lead who can leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities that improve the efficiency of the PayCom team.
Articulate the technology needs, requirements and goals of the team
Identify processes, resources and tools that improve productivity, performance and enable deeper, more scalable solutions
Interface with PayCom investigators/analysts, leads and managers to understand their data needs
Work closely with operational teams to ensure that their business requirements are accurately translated into functional and technical designs for execution
Interface with engineers/product managers to implement customers' needs
Leverage data and analytics to identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations through effective communication
Drive new or existing team projects relating to data analytics and compliance system infrastructure, to deliver scalable solutions
Marshal resources from multiple functions to deliver scalable solutions
Manage codebase, pipelines, rule logic and underlying data table architecture that supports the payments compliance operational workflows and its various third party integrations
Develop strong cross-functional partnerships across Facebook to drive PayCom team's success
BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, or other quantitative fields
4+ years of hands-on experience in a data focused discipline
Experience using statistical analysis tools such as (e.g., R, Python, SAS), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Spotfire, QlikView, D3.js), scripting (e.g., JavaScript, PHP, XML, Rest) and databases (HDFS, RDBMS, KeyValue storage)
Experience in a variety of data focused initiatives such as designing and executing experiments, building statistically grounded forecasting models, structuring assessments around data quality, and development of reporting aids for both internal and external audiences
Knowledge with analytics techniques such as machine learning, text mining, natural language processing, decision trees, etc.
Knowledge in program, product and project management aspects, with industry experience
Experience creating and delivering roadmaps related to various products in the pipeline
Masters in a quantitative discipline and 2+ years of hands-on experience in a data focused discipline
Working knowledge of front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end (PHP, SQL, Hive, NoSQL) technologies
