Territory Business Development Manager – NY Metro

Aurora Circ is a sustainability focused for-profit commerce and services business. We provide services to the building industry by processing and selling the highest quality surplus and pre-installed kitchen, bath and interior products. By doing this, we cut carbon impact in half, protect brands and increase profits. We work with our partners transparently, are aligned in their commitment to carbon reduction, and are trusted as a provider of secondary market services.
Aurora Circularity, Inc. is the processing partner of Sustainability Angels 501(c)(3) non-profit. A separate organization focused on carbon and waste reduction in the building industry, ACI refers donors to SAI and provides assessment and logistics services for all of SAI’s in-kind material donations.
We are looking for an experienced business development professional capable of establishing and maintaining a strong market presence throughout the New York Metro area.
Applicant should be skilled at establishing new relationships, creating awareness, disciplined and consistent in outreach and closing new project business.
The best fit candidate will have the following experience:
- New Business Development, B2B sales experience and relationship management
- Consistent record of hitting and exceeding target quotas
- Oriented in the luxury sector
- Experience in the kitchen, bath, appliance or building industry
Responsibilities
- Identify, strategically target, and systematically call on prospective and existing industry professionals
- Become an active and engaged participant in industry events and organizations within target market
- Work daily prospect list and pipeline to build up contact, account, and project lists
- Cold and warm lead calling with in-person visits
- Achieve and exceed pipeline goals
- Deliver high level of client and account relationship satisfaction
- Complete all records in an accurate manner
- Update CRM
- Follow all defined business development and project management operation standards
Skills
- Knowledge of kitchen cabinetry and appliances a big plus, or a desire to learn it
- Must be a strong communicator, able to establish new relationships, close prospective projects both in-person and over the phone, comfortable throughout a negotiation with an infectious positive attitude
- Extraordinary conversation and people skills
- Goal setting, planning, and accountability skills
- Proactive, problem-solving skills
- Organized and effective at managing details through to project completion
Experience:
- 5+ years in progressive business development and sales positions
- Kitchen, bath, appliance, building products or related experience
- Experience in cold and warm sales activities
- Proficiency in CRM - Zoho operation a plus
Job Type: Full-time. On the road in the NY metro area - NYC, Westchester, Fairfield County & Long Island.
Pay: Base: $60,000 per year
Commission: 5% of net sales, uncapped
