Description & Requirements
Our Accounting team is looking for a Senior Manager in the US Controller’s Group to lead the Trade Promotions & Marketing teams. As the Commercial Senior Accounting Manager, your primary responsibility will be to properly account for the >$5B US portfolio of promotional events which includes performing balance sheet flux analysis, leading month-end close procedures, and ensuring proper design and performance of internal controls. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering value-added analysis to the Finance Organization including supporting promotional efficiency initiatives and reviewing trade & marketing promotional forecasts. You will also be responsible for interfacing between Business Unit CFOs and Sales Finance Leadership to support proper control over Trade & Marketing Promotion spending. You will also have the opportunity to challenge the status quo with recurring processing, to make the team more efficient & able to focus on more value-add activities.
Proper accounting for US trade & marketing expenses and related liabilities
Challenge leadership on forecasts to ensure correct balance sheet liabilities
Oversight of routine and ad hoc reporting supporting Finance Leadership
Development of new processes as needed by the business to support growth, strategy shifts, and/or continuous improvement initiatives
Lead various multi-disciplinary teams or projects that facilitate the end-to-end promotion process
Support all financial related audits including compliance, client, internal and external audits and SOX
Accounting or Finance Degree
SEC and US GAAP knowledge, CPA or MBA preferred
Minimum 4 years of public accounting experience or Trade Promotion management experience within CPG industry
Enthusiastic about leading teams and cultivating talent
Ability to produce high quality work in ambiguous environments, analytically interpret financial information, and improve business processes
Highly conscientious and proactively seeks to add value

Advanced analytical abilities in Excel with the ability to present clear stories in PowerPoint
