To write and fill-in produce a daily newscast that airs on KTLA.
Oversees and organizes production elements of the newscast.
Generates copy including teases and bumps.
Works closely with Executive Producer, field crews and Assignment Desk to maximize daily resources and appropriately reflect the news of the day.
Desktop editing skills required Works in the control room during the live newscast and communicates with the production staff and the field journalists.
Also responsible for posting web content and social media updates.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelors Degree preferred
Three years of TV news experience preferred
Candidates must demonstrate a passion for news. This includes reading competitive websites, and follow social media daily.
Suggest story ideas daily
Familiarity with ENG/SNG operations
Knowledge of Final Cut Pro a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills needed
Leadership ability, positive attitude and creativity a must
