Partner Engineering is a highly technical team that works with our strategic partners to integrate Facebook solutions into their mobile platforms, apps, and devices. In this role, you will engage with some of the world's most influential companies and work closely with our world-class engineering and product teams. The ideal candidate will combine excellent technical and business skills to make our partners successful and improve our mobile and device offerings. This position will be based in Menlo Park, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deeply understand the Facebook platform and underlying implementation across mobile
Define and execute on a strategy to drive adoption of the Facebook mobile platform
Be a subject matter technical expert, and have strategic influence on partners and internal teams at Facebook
Build relationships with strategically important partners in order to ensure their ongoing success using the Facebook platform
Work closely with Facebook's product and engineering teams to ensure the right products are built to address the needs of partners
Manage the relationship with the partner’s technical team
Be both a highly technical, hands-on coder and effective partner manager
Ensure great documentation and best practices are created to help partners launch and grow their business using the Facebook platform
Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of industry experience - software engineering, technical consultancy, partner/sales engineering
Software development experience in languages and environments such as Java, Python and/or PHP
Experience with Android development and mobile technology stack or AOSP (Android Open Source Project)
Functional source control experience
Experience with Git and knowledge of Mercurial
Experience with command line, Unix/Linux environments and working toolchain knowledge
Experience presenting to technical audiences
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience
Experience with the Facebook platform and API
