Marketing Manager – Control Label Brands is a brand management position which includes heavy new business development work and customer relations in coordination with our National Accounts sales team, to help our chain customers grow their business. The person in this role must be comfortable working closely with senior leadership, operations, plant teams and design agencies, while leading the New Product Development process as part of bringing Customer brands to life. The role is part of an overall effort to grow Sazerac Company and its brands and build a strong brand marketing bench for the future.
As the Marketing Manager – Control / Private Label, one is held accountable to, however not limited to, the following:
Develop annual budgets, create marketing plans, implement pricing strategy and ensure plan is executed while using COGNOS, Key Performance Indicators and other company systems to track and ensure objectives are met.
Build an arsenal of label types, bottles and package designs that can be used for national account brand development.
Partner with National Accounts Off-trade sales team to identify distribution opportunities for private and control label brands, and develop and present compelling sales stories and brands to gain new distribution in national accounts.
Develop and maintain relationships with National Accounts buyers and buying teams, under the direction and guidance of the National Accounts Director - Off Premise.
Utilize advertising and design agencies in support of position objectives and priorities.
Develop Key Performance Indicators and other initiatives to create focus and drive results to grow brand contribution from national sales.
Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or Communications
7 years Business experience, at least
3 years budgeting, planning and/or financial analysis experience
2 years Wine and spirits industry experience
Strong computer skills and high comfort using technology and systems
Strong interpersonal skills Excellent project management skills
Willingness to travel
Master's degree in related field
