Who You Are:
Are you a hard worker who will show up, get the job done, and are squared away enough to manage your own route? Then you might flourish in our open position for a local CDL Truck Driver. Our busy industrial gas company is currently looking for a team player to fill the position of a local route truck driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of industrial gas cylinders to pre-determined customers on specific routes, loading and unloading the truck, and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. The candidate will run a local route that services the Austin/San Antonio Markets.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage Routes and Routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible
- Load and unload up to 400 gas cylinders with varying weights of up to 25 lb daily.
- Greet and interact with the customer during delivery with a service forward attitude
- Meet with the client to complete the purchase orders for the delivery
Qualifications:
- 1 year truck driving experience preferred
- Candidate must have a CDL license with a Haz-Mat endorsement
- Must be capable of unloading and loading 25 lb gas cylinders numerous times each day by hand
- Must be capable of bending, twisting, and lifting cylinders
- Must be able to push and pull carts in and around warehouses
- This job is best suited for someone who considers themself physically fit
- This job requires the employee to transition in and out of a truck cab in the heat of a Texas summer
- Candidate must pass a background check and drug test
- Candidate must have a clean driving record
