Technology Business Analyst, Investments
The Technology Business Analyst, Investments will work closely with the Office of the Chief Investment Officer’s Lean-Agile SAFe team to ensure timely planning and delivery of requested technology projects. The role will require a high degree of collaboration with key business partners, project management skills, flexibility, and knowledge of the Agile environment. You interact with Investment Management’s Lean-Agile Product Managers and Product Owners along with the Investment Teams and key data/application vendors to assist with organizing the planning of data and technology projects for the Investments Department.
Collaborate closely between technical and non-technical users including third party vendors, ensuring parties involved have an understanding and gain knowledge of the application and/or business considerations required to move forward with projects.
Assist Product Managers and Product Owners in translating the product vision into meaningful feature(s) and stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria.
Serve as the knowledge resource for questions from the development team. Provide research and analysis to be used in creating and maintaining department technology roadmaps.
Serve as a backup Lean-Agile SAFE Product Owner
Use high level of judgment and initiative in resolving problems and developing recommendations
Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. computer science, economics, finance, mathematics) some combination of business and technology education/experience is highly preferred.
Experience equaling 3 + years in engineering, business technology and/or consulting. Strong analytical skills. Proficient digital literacy including Microsoft Excel/PPT and experience with or capability to learn Tableau
Ability to work on assignments independently
Experience with executing in an Agile development environment.
Comfort and expertise with investment data sets (security master, holdings, portfolio analytics) and an ability to mine such data and produce analyses.
Familiarity with investment asset classes. Experience handling a suite of vendor applications, with preferred experience with FactSet, Bloomberg, BlackRock and/or related platforms.
Strong aptitude in learning new tools and technologies to be able to work effectively in a rapid growth environment.
