Receptionist/Clerical Assistant

Davis Brown Law Firm - West Des Moines, IA


The Davis Brown Law Firm currently has an opening for a full-time Receptionist/Clerical Assistant in our West Des Moines office. This position will perform front desk reception duties and real estate-related administrative duties. The position hours are Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Duties include:

  • Greet and direct clients and visitors appropriately
  • Operate a standard office phone and direct calls as appropriate
  • Maintain and coordinate items at the reception area including incoming deliveries and outgoing items
  • Maintain conference room and guest office schedules
  • Maintain orderly appearance of reception, conference room, and kitchen areas
  • Order and stock office supplies
  • Perform administrative work primarily related to the real-estate practice area

Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of reception and/or administrative experience preferred
  • A professional appearance and demeanor
  • Exceptional attendance and dependability
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with all clients and visitors
  • Detail oriented, collaborative, and able to remain on task with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to operate a computer and basic programs
