Responsible for providing moderately complex analysis of information, problems and/or data of a moderate scope, where analysis requires a review of a variety of factors. Works under general supervision and exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Analyzes and reports on the impact of current or proposed solutions. Assists in driving change as needed.
Responsible for basic routing and scheduling of store deliveries, fleet equipment assignments, CDL driver schedules, fleet dispatch, and accident reporting. Monitors loading of trailers. Monitors basic compliance with DOT regulations. Responsible for payroll reconciliation, coordinates backhauls into Dispatch through 3PL relationships.
Communicates with DCs and Store Operations regarding delivery times, delays. Sets up DC loading dock schedules, assigns tractors and trailers. Maintains and corrects problems relating to on time deliveries, store tracker, store notifications and completion of route within DOT compliance standards. Responsible for Fleet Dispatch, Driver’s HOS. Completes payroll. Promotes a safe work environment. Assists in routing and scheduling of store deliveries with the assistance of routing software. Works with shipping management to see that trailers are loaded properly. Makes daily decisions when wave planning which affect the workload of the DC. Assists with accident reporting, assists in resolution of a variety of issues including but not limited to accidents, breakdowns, store notifications and emergencies. Monitors compliance with DOT Regulations.
Assists with payroll reporting. Tracks fleet performance using various operating KPI’s. Coordinates the backhaul program/responsibilities.

Bachelor's Degree and at least 1 year of experience or internship experience in a supply chain or business role OR Bachelor’s Degree and successful completion of Walgreens Supply Chain Co-op Program OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in a supply chain or business role.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
BA/BS Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, and at least 1 year of experience in a supply chain or business role
Certified in Transportation and/or Logistics
Experience with Routing Software and or TMS System, AS400 or SAP Platform,
Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations.
Class A CDL Driver planning, dispatching and Payroll
Private Fleet experience in a multi-stop environment
Accident and Claims Management
Willing to be on call 24/7 and carry a company provided cell phone, provided fill-in for vacation and sick leave
