FINANCIAL ANALYST - The Candidate: * Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred), preferably within the areas of Accounting or Finance. * Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, SumIf, VLOOKUP functions). * Experience using financial reporting tools such as BPC, Hyperion or BW. * Highly motivated and energetic with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset. * Ability to work well in a dynamic environment, to think creatively and to be able to recommend and implement process improvements. * Ability to partner with associates at all levels within the organization. * Position will be based out of Waltham, Massachusetts.
FINANCIAL ANALYST - The Opportunity: Our team is searching for an individual to become a subject matter expert on Company’s product sales, to manage financial reporting to third party licensors, and to derive deep insight through analysis and inquiry of reporting provided by Company's third-party collaborative partners. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the diagnostics business, enhance financial knowledge and skills, create and implement new and innovative solutions to complex global challenges, and enable the organization to develop insights from large data sets. As part of the World-Wide Controllership team, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for the accounting, forecasting, reporting, and relationship management for the Company’s third-party royalty agreements. This position will be working with third party and internal resources to develop a comprehensive understanding of the drivers, risks and opportunities related to the Company’s royalty income and expense contracts. In addition to oversight of all financial matters pertaining to the Company’s third-party license relationships, the Financial analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial reports and operating information provided by a third-party manufacturer. This analysis, along with thoughtful inquiry, will allow Company to better understand current and prospective cost structure related to a key supplier. Key responsibilities include: * Monitoring and interpreting sales and contractual changes to ensure that the Company is compliant with its responsibilities under royalty contracts. * Partnering with management, IT and business partners to develop new system reporting tools to create a more stream-lined process for calculating royalty obligations. * Representing Finance in the development of new license contracts. * Monthly Close and forecasting responsibilities for royalties, collaboration revenue and third-party manufacturing. * Ad-Hoc Projects and Analysis.
