Tyson Multimedia Inc. is looking for career-forward, rising sophomores, juniors and seniors to join our 2019 Spring and Summer Internship Program. Ideal candidates will be current college students located in Eastern North Carolina, looking to gain hands-on work experience and lasting connections with local leaders. Take the Lead. Summer 2019 Internships are available in the following areas:
Social Media - Ideal candidate is pursuing, Mass Communication, Journalism, or Media. Must be familiar with social media platforms and the proper etiquette required in a professional setting.) Video editing is a plus. Must have own device to shoot video, pictures, post etc. from. Many schools have rented these out to interns in the past. Phones are acceptable if high quality and you accept data responsibilities. Computer savvy, comfortable with Microsoft word, Photoshop, or and graphic design program Brainstorm and create content for social media sites and weekly blogs.
Sales & Marketing - Ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business or a related field, preferably entering the last year their program. In this role, the individual will utilize research to work on content based marketing plans and projects aimed at increasing exposure of the Tyson Multimedia Brand and product development. Provide support for live events through passing out flyers, sending out emails, viral marketing and making phones calls to promote event.
Science/Technology. - Ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Science, Engineering or a related field. Preferably entering the, sophomore, junior year, or last year of their program. In this role the individual is responsible for assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of program components and activities related to art, music, STEM ( science, technology, engineering and math).
Graphic Design/Photography – Ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in graphic design and photography. Execute high-quality digital photography for multiple categories. Help with creation, implementation of consistent design patterns, color schemes, and typography, layout for images. Edit images and design graphic for product marketing. Must have own device to shoot video, pictures, post etc. Many schools have rented these out to interns in the past. Phones are acceptable if high quality and you accept data responsibilities.
Fashion/Merchandise –Ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in fashion and design or related field. Entering sophomore, junior or last year or their program. In this role the individual will assist with planning, development and implementation of pop up displays for new product line, coordinate events and shows. Assist with design boards and artwork.
Event Coordinator/Planning – Ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in event planning and design field. Preferably entering the junior or last year of their program. In this role the individual will assist in the planning, design, set and management of a variety of events. Actively create post on behalf of the business or social media sites. Play a direct role in the design and organization of both marketing material and promotional events. Conduct market research in the surrounding area in order to remain competitive as well as to develop accurate price points for new services. Inform and involve past client of current promotions and events. Implement and responsible for all outreach for client appreciation. Assist clients with any questions or concerns clients may have leading up to their special event. Work closely with venue to successfully accomplish all event duties and details. Order and assemble all public event admission tickets, decor accessories. Assist in formulation innovate and unique marketing strategies. Email/phone correspondence with centers, clients etc. Attend meetings with designer and vendors. Complete site visits.
Cinematography/Videography – Ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in film field. Preferably entering the sophomore, junior or last year of their program. In this role the individual will film footage of events, and behind the scenes, or video promotion. Responsibilities include pitching stores, filming and editing content for the website. Candidates should exhibit strong writing skills and a basic knowledge of video production and editing experience in FCPX, AVID, and Adobe Suite is strongly encouraged; courses in cinematography are a plus. Must have own device to shoot video, pictures, post etc. from. Many schools have rented these out to interns in the past. Phones are acceptable if high quality and you accept data responsibilities.
