You're empowered to do your best by supporting the Business Initiatives Team. The Project Manager is accountable for driving projects to completion. Impact of work is most often at the local level. Candidate’s personal work is self-directed and not prescribed, focused on less structured, more complex issues. Other responsibilities include reviewing the work of others, and developing innovative approaches to problems. Within the PMO, the candidate is sought out as expert, serves as a leader/mentor and is advanced in the following aspects of project management.

Primary Responsibilities:
Lead or contribute to the development of program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g., program/project charter, Statement of Work, Business Vision Document)
Collect, analyze and maintain financial forecast information (e.g., labor, hardware, software), using input from applicable sources (e.g., resource managers, project managers, application planners, system architects)
Develop/contribute to project budgets and forecasts, obtaining approvals from applicable stakeholders (e.g., cost/benefit analysis, capital planning, staffing impact analysis/assessment)
Establish/apply quality objectives, criteria, standards and levels using appropriate quality management methods, with input from applicable stakeholders (e.g., key performance indicators, scope definition)
Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions
Develop, document and implement project communication plans
Communicates status and issues to business leaders

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
6+ years of experience as Project Manager
3+ years of previous experience in an cross matrixed enterprise environment
Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years experience within UHG
Strong executive communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
Ability to gain acceptance for ideas, plans, actions and then implement across organizational boundaries
Business operations strategy definition and execution in a matrixed organization
Telephony or call center experience
Experience with Agile methodologies
Healthcare experience
