Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits
Shift: This is a full-time, Monday - Friday, non-exempt, benefit eligible position.
The primary purpose of the Donor Relations and Gift Services Coordinator at Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation is to oversee a best-in-class donation acknowledgment process and to draft content for donor stewardship communications.
Coordinate the Foundation’s centralized Donation Acknowledgment Process;
Write and coordinate timely distribution of gift acknowledgment letters in alignment with the Foundation’s centralized Acknowledgement Process, including but not limited to letters from the Hospital and Foundation executives and Chairs of the Hospital and Foundation Boards.
Reviews effectiveness of process and makes suggestions for modification and improvement.
Coordinate Tribute Process;
Set up and maintain Tribute Records in the Foundation’s constituent database, Blackbaud CRM.
Write and coordinate correspondence of Tribute notifications.
Upload and track acknowledgments and Tribute correspondence in the Foundation’s constituent database, Blackbaud CRM.
Coordinate daily receipting process;
Process and review all receipts daily, including those that are live-signed, for accuracy and ensure receipts are sent to donors with accuracy and timeliness.
Coordinate the Foundation's centralized Pledge Reminder Process;
In partnership with Prospect Managers, coordinate and generate pledge reminder correspondence.
Partner with Prospect Managers to consistently track pledge reminders in the Foundation’s constituent database, Blackbaud CRM.
Regularly update stewardship language on gift receipts;
In partnership with Foundation Marketing Communications regularly draft language for gift receipts and designations that aligns with messaging and campaigns.
Coordinate welcome correspondence for giving societies;
Create and distribute timely welcome materials to donors in the Foundation’s giving societies as they qualify.
Upload and track giving society member communications in the
Foundation’s constituent database, Blackbaud CRM.
Coordinate special donor correspondence as needed;
Draft correspondence to donors for Foundation executives and Prospect Managers for special circumstances, i.e. milestone birthdays, giving anniversaries, awards and community recognition, special stewardship occasions, etc.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding correspondence related to Board of Trustees.
Upload and track giving special donor correspondence in the Foundation’s
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, writing, journalism or related field from an accredited college or university is required.
Two to Three years’ experience in a nonprofit organization with preference for experience in donor relations and stewardship. Experience at a large and complex organization is a plus.
Demonstrated writing skills; experience writing for high-value donors and VIPs.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse constituencies, meet deadlines, be self-motivated, and work independently.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong team orientation and skill in working with a wide range of colleagues, including Prospect Managers and the Executive Team, Marketing Communications and Gift Services.
Strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to establish priorities.
Strong belief in the mission of a hospital dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of children.
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to effectively work and communicate with staff and volunteers.
Experience with CRM systems and familiarity with Blackbaud CRM a plus.
Ability to Perform Essential Functions of the Job
