Position Summary

Responsible for initial customer contact, providing best-in-class customer service, and selling incremental products and options to customers at the rental desk. Additionally, they hold responsibility for processing rentals, resolving overdue rentals, responding to customer questions and complaints, and communicating with shuttle drivers for pick-ups.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a brand ambassador, ensures walk-up and reservation driven customers have a best-in-class car rental experience at the rental desk
Greets customers, completing the necessary rental and location information, while disclosing rates, terms and conditions of rental, obtaining customer initials and signatures on contract
Sells customers incremental sales products (e.g. coverage, toll passes, pre-paid fuel, etc.), explaining the value and cost, enabling the customer to make an informed decision
Maintains and updates rental agreement files, inclusive of contacting and notifying customers of overdue rental vehicles, inquiring on the expected date of return and processing extensions accordingly
Meets sales goals set for each location by selling vehicle upgrades and incremental sales products, tailored to the needs of each customer
Liaises with kiosk and fleet parking lot staff to identify vehicle availability to inform customers of vehicle options
Provide general assistance in person or over the phone to customers regarding where to pick up their vehicle, shuttle locations and processes (where applicable), as well as overall directions to their destination if and when required
Periodically may be required to move vehicles, or assist in other operational functions (e.g. supporting Kiosk operations)
Other duties as required

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 year customer service or sales experience
Experience meeting sales quotas or working in highly commissioned positions preferred
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills required
Ability to follow incentivized sales program
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Must have the ability to manage stressful or unusual situations in order to maintain good customer service
Must have basic computer navigation skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
Must be willing to wear company uniforms
Must be at least 21 years old and be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screens.
Must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
Must have the flexibility to work day and/or evening hours, as well as weekends/holidays as needed
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Ability to communicate in other languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, Hebrew, German, etc.) is a plus.
