SITECH Chesapeake, part of the Alban CAT family and authorized dealer for Trimble Heavy & Civil Construction products and services, is currently accepting applications for a Survey & Machine Control Consultant for our Eastern Shore territory.
The Survey and Machine Control Consultant is responsible for consulting with and improving the business success of all customers in an assigned SITECH territory, primarily through direct face-to-face contact, as well as telephone and email contact. Develop and propose technology solutions to increase hardware and service sales. Proactively manage the assigned customer list, and prospective customers in your territory to provide parts and service recommendations and solutions. Research and develop quote proposals in Salesforce.com system, including any financial incentives and options available from Alban and Caterpillar. Use internal resources to ensure thorough and rapid turnaround of customer quotes and proposals. Collect Purchase Orders and review for acceptable operational terms and conditions. Build strong customer relationships using a consultative approach, expertise and industry knowledge to show value with customers. Update customer activities and account information details in CRM (Salesforce). Provide input on marketing strategies to generate business. Resolve customer problems in a timely and team orientated manner. Attend sales and marketing events.
Minimum of two years direct face-to-face customer service and/or sales experience. Experience with surveying, estimating, construction equipment, earthmoving operations preferred. Experience with construction technologies such as Trimble, Topcon, Leica, Spectra a plus. Must be proficient with MS-Office applications. Must be a strong communicator, capable of effectively negotiating and closing deals. Must be able to develop and execute effective action plans and handle customer situations to produce results. Must be well organized, able to prioritize workload and multitask to meet deadlines. Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to travel and work flexible hours as required.
