The primary purpose of the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiatives Program (TPPI) Consultant is to provide overall leadership, oversight and management to local projects that receive TPPI funding. Major duties include project monitoring, contract management, meeting/training design and implementation, and Requests for Application (RFA) development and consultation related to the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program and the Adolescent Parenting Program. The TPPI Program Consultant works on a team with the Program Supervisor, another Program Consultant and an Evaluation Consultant. The TPPI Team is responsible for general program administration.
Salary Grade: GN10; Recruitment Range: $39,611-$52,242

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Working with local health departments and community-based organizations
Coordinate and conduct professional trainings
Working in a team environment
Implementation of adolescent pregnancy prevention programs and/or adolescent parenting programs
Knowledge of public health principles and practice
Communicate effectively in writing and orally with staff and representatives of local health departments and community-based organizations

Management Preferences:
Experience with contract management, including provision of technical assistance and monitoring preferred.
Sensitivity to different cultural/ethnic backgrounds preferred.
Previous experience working with community-based organizations, local health departments, school systems and/or universities is crucial.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in the program related to the area of assignment

an equivalent combination of education and experience.
