Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing on soil and rock.

Use and maintain scientific testing equipment.

Process test data using computer software.

Communicate test progress and present test results.

Perform general office support which includes filing, data entry, scanning, shredding documents and email correspondence.

Assisting in cleaning and organizing the office for our upcoming move.

Interact and communicate with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels.

File documents and other items.

Run errands as needed.

Follow Shannon & Wilson's Quality Assurance policy.

Follow and promote Shannon & Wilson’s Health & Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- 0 to 4 years of experience.

Proven success in office coordination.

Proficient in mathematics, including Algebra.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong time-management and multi-tasking abilities.
-
Ability to accurately record lab readings, field notes, and sketches to document work.

Proficiency with office applications and aptitude for learning new software and systems.

Experience with document production equipment is ideal, i.e., printing, copying, and binding.
Level Placement
Typically, depending on an applicant’s education, experience, other qualifications they possess, if they are a fit for the company and local office culture, and the current business needs, a Lab Intern would typically would be placed at a Shannon & Wilson Office Services I or II level.
