Role
The CNC Machinist is responsible for managing the production rate and quality, making sure the product meets the highest standards of the Company’s product line. During production, you must monitor the machinery and conduct regular quality checks to ensure they are running properly and that parts are being produced according to specifications. The job duties herein describe essential functions of the position. Additionally, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to the success of the position. The individual should be able to perform these essential functions with or without requested reasonable accommodations.
Essential Functions
- Perform operational functions of CNC machines, maintain proper maintenance of machine equipment
- Maintain acceptable reject and production rates
- Verify part compliance to print or other documentation, uses Calipers and Micrometers
- Reading of blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required
- Responsible for all paperwork of area of machinery assigned
- Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job. Correctly loading and unloading fixturing, Jaws, Chucks, Main Spindle, Sub Spindle, Collets, Pads, Bar feeder inputs
- Plans proper sequence of steps to complete assignment which may include programming input or corrections. Determine and program size of batches and speed of machine
- Maintain a safe work environment and keep work area clean and organized
- Conduct all business activities in accordance with company code of conduct, policies and procedures and all applicable legal requirements.
- Perform other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Qualifications & Requirements
- HS/GED
- 2 Years’ experience on CNC lathe / mill
- Technical school degree or certificate is a plus
- Available to work overtime as needed.

- Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface safely bend, stoop, and reach for 8 to 10 hours a day

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This position requires working primarily in an industrial facility, which may not be temperature controlled around machines with moving parts and electrical equipment. It also requires exposure to loud noises and contaminants.
