Nuvance Health, formerly Western Connecticut Health,
is seeking a
Family Nurse Practitioner
for our New Canaan Primary Care Practice office in New Canaan, CT.
We are located in suburban Fairfield County under 50 miles from NYC
with close proximity to Norwalk Hospital.
It is a highly regarded well established practice. You will work with 2 Physicians and
catering to a wide variety of patients from infants to geriatrics.We have a busy, established practice in a family-friendly location with close proximity to NYC with an excellent public school system.
Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 900+ employed physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
Astride a hill with a commanding view of the Long Island Sound, Norwalk Hospital serves a varied and attractive region of Southern Connecticut. The hospital is just minutes from beautiful places to hike, swim, sail or just walk along the beach. Connecticut Magazine recently named South Norwalk as the “hottest” nightspot between Boston and New York City, with a plethora of theater groups and restaurants to choose from. New York City is easily accessible by car or train.
This is an employed position with Nuvance Health. We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including competitive salary, generous benefits, and allowances for CMEs and Dues
The APRN provides medical care for patients in collaboration with a physician, assisting patients to recover from acute illnesses while minimizing the effects of chronic illnesses.
This position requires a minimum formal education of Master Degree, FNP, State of CT RN and APRN license, CT Controlled Substances and Federal DEA Registration
Willingness to work 8 hour shifts Monday through Friday 9 am-5pm.
Prior experience as FNP preferred but new grads with FNP experince are welcome to apply.
