Northrop Grumman Corporate Office is seeking a Strategic Analyst within the Strategy & Development Organization, reporting to the Director of Strategic Investments. Strategy plays an integral role in the portfolio decision-making process of the company. The successful candidate will support the development of portfolio shaping strategies that optimize the company's positioning for long-term value creation.
The analyst will support the Corporation's strategic merger, acquisition, and divestiture (MA&D) process to include equity investments, with responsibility for developing in-depth strategic and financial analyses of potential MA&D / investment candidates delivered to a senior management level audience. She/he will also support the development, execution, and integration of potential transactions.
Research and assess potential candidates for acquisition, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures by collaborating across the enterprise to identify inorganic growth opportunities and gaps
Conduct thorough candidate screening and due diligence to include synergy analysis, strategic rationale, and financial strength
Support development of management presentations
Ad hoc analysis and special projects: Respond to or support executive sponsored special projects with dynamic requirements; succinctly and accurately present findings to senior leadership
Bachelor's degree with a minimum 6 years of experience or Master's degree with a minimum 4 years of experience in business, finance, technical or a related discipline
Ability to collect, analyze and synthesize business and financial insights from multiple sources
Proficient Microsoft Office skills
Experience in financial analysis and/or strategy development
US Citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance
MBA or other, relevant graduate degree. A technical degree coupled with relevant business education or relevant work experience will also be considered
Specific experience in the aerospace and/or defense industry
Previous Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Corporate Development experience
Strong analytical, statistical and critical thinking skills paired with the ability to visualize in a meaningful manner
Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to handle multiple priorities, and the ability to function with minimal guidance
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Ability to communicate effectively with senior levels of management
Current DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance
