UW MEDICAL CENTER - MONTLAKE - PHARMACY has an outstanding opportunity for a FIXED DURATION PHARMACY ASSISTANT/COURIER (Full-Time, Day Shifts) within the UWMC Oncology Pharmacy . The Pharmacy Assistant/Courier will assist the pharmacist in technical pharmacy activities and performs assigned tasks under direct supervision. This position is expected to last 6 months.
- Delivery of medications to the patient care areas or other areas of the hospital.
- Restock shelves in the pharmacy.
- Check and pull soon-to-expire medications and supplies from the pharmacy shelves.
- Maintain the stock levels of floor stock in patient care areas as assigned.
- Perform basic computer functions for medication preparation such as charge/credit of patient specific doses, label generation, admission/discharge/transfer updates.
- Clean designated areas of the pharmacy.
- Maintain patient confidentiality according to UW Medical Center standards.
- Adhere to UWMC Pharmacy Services and UW Medical Center policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties as required.
High School graduation or GED Certificate OR equivalent education/experience.
State of Washington Pharmacy Assistant registration.
