If so, the Director of Information Technology position with Legend Senior Living is for you. This role is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT related functions for the corporation. This includes directing all IT operations to meet community-level operational needs as well as supporting and maintaining existing applications and servers, and leading the development of new value-add technologies for the business.
This position manages all employees of the IT department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of IT support associates.
Some of the responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies, and procedures for the IT Department
Develop, champion and enforce short-term and long-term information technology strategy and provide technical guidance in overseeing and managing the Company’s information system and communication network.
Analyze complex business needs presented by the communities and home office departments and develop and recommend technical solutions.
Develop, update and implement the Company’s data recovery preparation, disaster response and business continuity plans
Proactively consult the Executive Team regarding emerging technologies and digital trends that are most relevant to the Company’s core needs and future goals, as well as advise on technologies utilized by competing businesses
Identify key metrics for managing IT effectiveness and for measuring the impact of the IT Department on Company’s business operations through specific key metrics.
Ensure the consistency and maintenance of existing applications by following established best practices and formulating standards and policies where needed.
Ability to manage multiple projects at once and follow-through to implementation.
Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor relationships and contracts
Source and participate in vendor contract negotiations for all new communications, computer equipment and software purchased for the Company. Negotiate favorable contracts to reduce cost and boost productivity.
Hires, develops, Directs, supervises, and prioritizes work of IT department staff
Ensure IT security best practices and policies are adopted and followed
Participates at executive meetings for IT-related matters.
Directs education programs for IT staff as well as organization training sessions
Responsible for maintaining data integrity of company systems including backups and recovery protocols
This role requires that you have experience with desktop operating systems, and various software applications including experience managing the following systems:
Cisco Call Manager
VMWare and VSphere virtualized environments
Microsoft enterprise suite of applications (Exchange, Active Directory, Domain Management, Sharepoint Server)
Managing and interacting with SQL databases
Point-to-point VPN networking
Working knowledge of developer languages including PHP, Java, .NET,
Minimum bachelors degree in computer science or related field or related experience
Minimum 8 years experience working inside an IT department
Minimum 3 years leading or supervising and IT department in whole or in part
The ability to travel as needed
