The Bilingual Advanced Practical Nurse plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care by delivering advanced nursing services under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse.
We are seeking candidates that:
- Have availability during daytime/weekday hours
- Can dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week
- Have experience with and want to work with children/adolescents ages 5+
- Are Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, and providing patient education.
- Collaborates with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adheres to established clinical protocols and standards of practice.
- Reviewing any reports and results of a client for any medical concerns as needed, in order to ensure that the clients medical needs are considered and addressed in the development of the service plan and throughout treatment
- Meeting reasonable administrative responsibilities
- Keeping and maintaining (or causing to be maintained) appropriate clinical records relating to all professional services rendered
- Doing all things reasonable to maintain and improve the prescriber’s professional skills.
- Providing medical services that are coordinated and integrated with other client care services to ensure continuity of care for each client
- Engaging in methods for service coordination and communication between the Facility and other service providers serving mutual clients receiving medication to ensure that all providers of service are aware of the medication prescribed, potential side effects, and other medication monitoring concerns.
- Providing information and instructions about the medication prescribed including, at a minimum dosage, administration, contraindications, potential adverse reactions, and any relevant health education.
- Regularly provide counseling services aimed at informing clients about medication(s) and the potential interactions if combined with alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.
- Providing an individual written medication information fact sheet for each prescribed medication.
- Providing medication counseling whenever a different medication is prescribed, whenever a significant change in dosage is made or whenever there is a history or suspicion of alcohol or chemical abuse.
Qualifications:
● Active and unrestricted APRN licensure in the state of New Jersey.
● PMHNP Certification
● Minimum of two years post-certification experience.
● DEA in the State of New Jersey.
● Experience providing care to clients with an array of mental health disorders across the lifespan.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a must!
