The Personal Lines & Loans Origination team is seeking a Business Support Consultant 2 to join their team. The primary function of this role will be:
Consulting with management and business partners on matters of significance regarding strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for the applicable business functions. Such consultation includes discussion of alternatives and implications.
Presents to executive management on business performance and recommends strategies to implement changes and improvements.
Utilizes thorough knowledge of the business unit's functional area or products to support strategic initiatives for the business.
Provides work direction to lower level staff.
Leads support functions and/or operations/production oversight usually for multiple business groups within a Line of Business.
Coordinates and monitors implementation and maintenance of processes, procedures, policies, training materials and scripting.
Prepares correspondence; memorandum; reports; communications, presentations or other assigned documentation.
Acts as a subject matter expert on projects.
Troubleshooting, issues resolution, and remediation
Functions supported may include: policy/procedure administration and adherence, systems/change initiatives, business continuity planning, legal and regulatory adherence, SLA negotiation/development, reporting and analysis, project funding, pipeline, process improvement (example: may include downstream training initiative identification and enactment), quality management, MBO development, communications, financial control/budgeting oversight (example: monitoring business expenses) and/or team member processing (example: planning focal review).

4+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: administrative support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning demonstrated through work or military experience
Ability to lead during times of ambiguity and change
Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change
Ability to act as a liaison between the technical design staff and business requester to ensure all requirements are met
Ability to act as a subject matter expert
Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
Ability to coordinate, lead and facilitate group meetings
Ability to identify risk exposures and propose solutions
Ability to mentor and train less senior staff
Ability to troubleshoot operational issues
Ability to work with limited supervision
Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
Other Desired Qualifications
Knowledge and understanding of personal loan originations processes and systems (ACAPS, Mask, Zoot, etc)
1+ year of Technical writing experience
Experience Microsoft Visio and/or iGrafx experience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Outstanding problem solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
Knowledge of Personal Lines and Loans sales, fulfillment and underwriting processes
Ability to develop, leverage and maintain resources with business partners in multiple functions
Exposure and understanding of IT language and terminology
Experience working with Technical Development teams
Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
Flexibility to address incidents as needed 24 hours a day
Ability to work additional hours as needed
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
