IndraSoft, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Mac Desktop Technician to join one of DC region’s fastest growing and successful companies, providing on-demand support to the Department of State’s global mission. The selected candidate will support our client, in Washington, DC. The Macintosh/Apple Support Technician provides 1st, 2nd and 3rd –tier desktop/user support to a 400-user Macintosh user community at U.S. Department of State. Support includes technical advice to a variety of user skill levels from absolute beginners to professional-level. Support also includes assisting users with desktop issues involving the Mac OS and 3rd-party applications to include Adobe Creative Suite and Apple Final Cut applications for video/graphics. Reports to the DOS Global IT Network Infrastructure (ITNI) Project Manager.

2-4 years of related Mac technical experience, demonstrating success supporting Macintosh desktops/laptops, peripherals and 3rd party Mac-focused software.
Through knowledge of Mac OS X versions 10.6 through 10.9.x and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve most Mac OS X desktop issues.
Through knowledge of Macintosh versions of Adobe CS, MS Office, Apple Final Cut, and the ability to configure, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Ability to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot peripheral devices connected to Macintosh computers.
Physically able to un-box, lift, and move Macintosh computers and peripheral equipment.
BFOQ: Must be U.S. Citizen and hold an active Secret Security Clearance.
Excellent communication, business analytical and problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills.
Effective Customer Service and management skills/capabilities; including a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally (internally) and/or externally.
Strong English language skills (both written and verbal).
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
Jamf Administrator certification, or training and experience, highly desired.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assist client with Mac desktops/laptops and peripherals with 3rd party Mac-focused software.
Troubleshoot and resolve Mac OS X versions 10.6 through 10.9.x issues.
Troubleshoot, configure and resolve Adobe CS, MS Office, Apple Final Cut issues.
Un-box, lift, move and set up Macintosh computers and peripheral equipment.
Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
While performing duties of the job, incumbent will be exposed to Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. This position requires incumbent to have the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
