Professional Engineer (P.E.) - Sales Engineer based in Dallas, Texas

Position Objective

The Professional Engineer (P.E.) role combines technical expertise with client engagement skills to help the sales team develop and close opportunities and ensure we meet the clients' expectations.

Summary: This is a full-time position.

In this critical role, the P.E. works side by side with our sales team as well as the client's engineering team, facilities team, P.E.'s, architects and other decision-making stakeholders by understanding and communicating engineering aspects of the Cenergistic solution and demonstrating the cloud-based applications. The P.E. works cooperatively with the sales, product, and delivery teams to convey the complex sustainability program and communicate our value proposition to potential clients.

Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining the company's solution to clients and prospective clients
Requires travel and use of virtual productivity tools to meet needs of client meetings
Confer with clients, engineers, and engineering support to assess client needs and to design sustainability program requirements
Collaborate with sales, product and delivery teams to understand client requirements and provide sales support
Develop new clients and renew out-of-contract clients by identifying potential client needs; develop value proposition, proposal and organize client account strategy with the sales organization
Maintain professional and technical knowledge such as ASHRA 55 by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
Contribute to solution road map by identifying short-term and long-term requirements and provide information and commentary pertinent to those deliberations
Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data, as well as and engineering and application trends
Assist clients and delivery teams to solve problems during start-up program phase
Knowledgeable with productivity tools such as WebEx, PowerPoint, excel
Good understanding of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS a plus

Minimum BS degree in mechanical engineering, or BS in another engineering field plus a background in mechanical systems (HVAC, chillers, boilers and other infrastructure) (Required)
Professional engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent (Required)
Knowledge of energy management controls systems (Required)
Must be based in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area (Required)
Strong understanding of energy management analytics (preferred)
Five years mechanical design experience for commercial buildings (preferred)
Experienced in the commissioning of existing and new buildings (preferred)
Experienced in working with a sales organization to deliver an assigned revenue plan (preferred)
CMVP (Certified Measurement and Verification Professional) a plus
Knowledge of International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol a plus

Work Environment:
This strategic position requires travel of approximately 50-60%; therefore, management of time and travel arrangements is essential.
