Detail-Oriented. Diligent. Accurate. Focused. Our Prep Cooks interact with the restaurants raw ingredients to produce components necessary for Line Cooks to use during restaurant service. Individuals in this position must also maintain state-specific health department standards regarding cleanliness and sanitation of their work stations during food preparation.
Follow prep list and restaurant recipes with accuracy.
Assist in checking-in and arranging inventory in a manner that follows ServSafe guidelines for easy, organized access.
Prepare ingredients by washing and slicing, chopping, mincing, etc. fruits, vegetables, and herbs. One may also be asked to assist in butchering meats based on his/her previous skill set in this area.
Participate in basic cooking duties such as preparing stocks for soups, reducing sauces, etc.
Label, stock, and store prepared ingredients properly throughout the line, pantry, and walk-in refrigerator/freezer.
Other duties as assigned.
