Disney Streaming Service (DSS) is seeking applicants desiring to transition from engineering to project management. The Associate Technical Project Manager is responsible for aiding in managing aspects of Broadcast Infrastructure projects affecting the infrastructure at various multimedia datacenters. The candidate will ensure work is completed in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner. In this position, the candidate will need to configure equipment.

Broadcast equipment includes, but is not limited to, broadcast servers, multiviewers, broadcast automation systems, audio/video routers, broadcast encoders, fiber transmission equipment, various IP networking hardware, COTS servers, and test and measurement equipment. Broadcast and/or IT experience Engineering or other technical background Experience configuring or designing broadcast systems Minimum of 3 or more years of Broadcast Systems Engineering experience Technical Media Project Management or the desire to transition from an Engineering to Project Management role Possible overtime, nights and weekends – Flexible hours Highly competent with project management tools (Microsoft Office or equivalent) Experience writing requirements and documenting data flows and system diagrams using products like Visio, Gliffy or Lucidchart Ability to create intuitive visualizations of timelines and project status Strong partnering skills and ability to work within a collaborative environment Strong problem-solving skills Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies Able to work independently and support several projects simultaneously Individual must be able to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of bug fixes and feature requests Manage projects to completion Gather requirements for new projects Gather requirements for functional and operations improvements Align project resources amongst Broadcast, Core Infrastructure, and Ops groups Task management at a micro level; alignment with Infrastructure Project Managers for macro level Configure equipment related to certain aspects of a project Up to 40% travel, some International travel 604549
