Business Intelligence (BI) Developer - Lead

The Lead BI Developer is part of the Institutional division’s Global Business Intelligence organization and is responsible for leading and supporting development and business process improvement projects by focusing on information systems and reporting to create value and insight. Requires in-depth development experience with Microsoft BI stack tools in addition to the ability to independently lead multiple complex projects across organizational boundaries and influence others.

What You Will Do:
Work with the larger BI team and other organizations to define and deliver solutions.
Understand technology, business processes and opportunities in the context of the technical and business requirements, and recommend sustainable solutions to extend the capability of the system.
Contribute vision and integrate a broad range of ideas regarding business information definitions, processes and analytics development
Provide technical leadership on complex projects; May be responsible for multiple phases of a project.
Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
Have full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming.
Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results.
May act as expert in business or functional area. Formulate/define system scope and objectives.
Experience in use of systems and reporting environments such as (but not limited to): Azure/Cloud data processes and structures, Databricks / Spark, Business Intelligence, Data Modeling, Business Reporting, Java, Python, Microsoft BI (Power BI, Analytics Services, SSRS/SSAS, Office, SharePoint), Data Warehousing.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Econometrics, or similar degree
Minimum 8 years of experience in business intelligence analysis, technical development, or similar positions
Minimum 3 years of experience with programming in SQL
Minimum 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools including: Azure, PowerBI, Azure Analysis Services, Data Factory, SSRS/SSAS, dashboards/visualization or similar

Advanced degree preferred
Good communication and writing skills
Experience translating business requirements into reports, dashboard/scorecards, BI query objects
Experience working with BI tool architectures, data analysis and data modeling, ETL tools
Experience with Azure: Data Factory, parallelism, USQL/NoSQL, Data Lake, HDI Insights, ML, Event Hub, Web services, API/API management
Experience working with SQL/TSQL, SQL stored procedures, and relational/multidimensional databases, PowerBI Pro, Premium
