Full Job Description
Work as a Scientist in a fast paced research and development team on EO/IR imagery systems with image characterization and exploitation problems. Will work in a team environment to implement, refine, and optimize image and signal processing algorithms. Develop new and mature existing analysis tools by applying knowledge of Data/Computer Science to extract multidimensional data from imagery and non-imagery sources. Write code, which is accessible to others, interfaces with containerization systems such as Docker, and or presents research findings in an elegant manner. Will be responsible for tracking and resolving software bugs and will be responsible for managing software repository and maintaining consistent.
Experience with Data Science methods including Clustering, Machine Learning, Design of Experiments and Simulations
Experience with image manipulation through code
Experience with presenting findings through intuitive visualizations including plotting libraries
Experience with Python
BA or BS degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with IR imagery, the image processing pipeline, and interacting with scientific camera’s through code (Python)
Experience with converting MATLAB/IDL/etc into Python equivalent
Experience in academic research, specifically applying academic research to real-world problems
BA or BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
