Workplace by Facebook is an enterprise communications platform that enables employees at any organization to collaborate and communicate using many of the same features available on Facebook. Launched in 2016, Workplace is growing quickly, with thousands of companies around the world now using Workplace to connect their employees and work seamlessly across teams and geographies. To help with the ongoing growth of the Workplace business, we are seeking a highly-motivated Communications Manager to lead a variety of initiatives in North America and Latin America (LATAM).
This role requires the individual to work effectively across a wide range of internal teams to create proactive communications campaigns and moments for Workplace. The ideal candidate will have experience in enterprise/B2B communications, with a focus on enterprise software and/or collaboration solutions. They must also be passionate about Facebook and the role that communication and collaboration can play in improving the productivity and effectiveness of people in the workplace. They will also need to have exceptional organizational skills, strong media relationships and be able to work quickly and be comfortable with fluid situations in an always changing industry.
This position is full-time and will be located in Menlo Park or San Francisco, California.
Lead proactive and reactive communications & strategy for Workplace in NA and LATAM
Develop strategic ongoing proactive programs to support product and company goals
Lead on global partnership communications for Workplace, working alongside our industry SaaS partners for news announcements such as product updates and customer announcements, support at industry events and joint proactive communications
Work closely with the larger Workplace communications team, based in London, to coordinate on global communications strategy, announcements, Workplace owned events, and crisis communications
Be able to work across time zones to achieve results
Maintain deep relationships with reporters in Silicon Valley & North America
Work with teams based in LATAM to expand Workplace Communications efforts
Carefully track industry trends, news and competitors to inform strategies
Up to 40% international travel
Experience working with SaaS or enterprise collaboration brands
Experience managing projects, across a variety of stakeholders
Experience building and executing a customer reference program
Bachelors degree in English, Communications or related field
6+ years experience in B2B technology or product communications environment
Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese
