WHAT DOES A SALES CONSULTANT DO?
Learn all RV categories including tent trailer, fifth wheels, trailers, and motorhomes in order to best present buying options to customers
Provide options to customers to help them in selecting the unit which best suits their individual preferences and needs in a recreational vehicle
Assist customers with the selection process and purchasing decisions
Advise customers on towing requirements for unit selected
Present and sell other value-added options including upgrades, and warranties
Ensure that all customers have a positive purchase experience with Family RV and are completely satisfied with the product(s) they purchase and the service they received. .
Prepare sales documentation to present to sales manager
Maintain regular follow up with current and prospective customers
Generate sales on all makes and models of new and used units
Prepare preliminary used vehicle appraisals for current and prospective customers
Previous auto or RV sales experience is helpful but not required – we’ll train the right candidate with experience and a successful track record in commission-based, “big ticket” retail, business to business sales or customer service
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across a diverse client base
Consistently achieve profitable sales goals established by Family RV
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record and reliable transportation
Solid computer skills
Strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including Saturdays
