SUMMARY: The Cashier ensures the accurate payment of all guest checks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Takes receipt and payment from guest, processes payment, and returns correct change/credit card
Provide friendly and courteous service to guests.
Act as Host Person as necessary, including greet and seat guests in station in a rotational manner,
Be able to answer guests questions regarding the restaurant outlet and menu items, answer phone
calls and take restaurant reservations, if applicable.
Alert the necessary Manager if there are any guest issues, special needs situations, or other
Maintains the house bank issued to them, accounting for money in the bank at all times.
Maintains working knowledge of every register in the outlet.
Completes all reports required for end-of-shift.
Other related duties as assigned.
Must be available for scheduled work.
Must exhibit the Thoughtful Service model at all times.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Three to six months of related experience preferred and/or training in a similar food outlet, hotel or casino atmosphere.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess and be able to maintain a current Health Card, Liquor License, or other required certifications as required by geographical area of the property.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Ability to read and write simple correspondences, memos and lists. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Must be able to use a Point-of-Sale system and cash register system accurately, effectively and expediently.
