The NFL Global Brand and Consumer Marketing (GBCM) team is everything about the creative expression, and manifestation, of delivering powerhouse storytelling programs centered around football. From the Super Bowl, mobile apps and streaming subscription services, to live game on-air promos and commercial spots, from documentaries and short films, to painting an entire city for the annual Draft or takeovers at Tottenham in London Series � the GBCM Creative Group produces and delivers world-class, award-winning content, creative and design experiences to sports fans and football audiences 24/7. We are a passionate team working hard to build the most in-depth access and quality entertainment content around the greatest game ever played.
We are currently seeking a Vice President, Executive Creative Director to join our Marketing team and lead the in-house internal �NFL Agency.� Reporting into the SVP, Global Brand and Consumer Marketing, the VP, ECD will oversee a talented group of +35 creatives that are charged with managing Content Marketing, On-Air Promotions, Graphic Design, Brand Strategy/Voice and other creative output programs that drives engaging and evocative brand narrative across the NFL Ecosystem. He/she will work cross-functionally with the creative leads across the NFL Media Group, Sponsorship, International, Business Development, Communications and Events departments to develop creative strategy and collaborate on executions that attract, grow and monetize audiences across linear, digital and social platforms. They may, on occasion, also partner with our lead external AOR creative agency, 72 and Sunny.
The right person for this role is an emergent storyteller who is a collaborative, open-minded, inspiring leader, with deep experience working with challenger brands and media/entertainment. And of course, he/she should love football!

Roles & Responsibilities
Provide creative leadership to the NFL Global Brand and Consumer team across all marketing channels, including advertising, on-air promotions, digital, print and social, experiential and events to help teams drive brand, ratings and revenue goals.
Set strategy for Marketing creative, visual identity and collaborate with internal design partners across League on tentpole initiatives such as Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, Kick-Off, Draft and International Series and NFL Media properties such as Thursday Night Football, PreSeason, Fantasy and NFL Mobile.
Partner frequently with Product Marketing Managers and external AOR agency in the development of creative concepts for specific marketing executions for assigned NFL properties.
Inspire, develop and mentor a passionate and highly-talented team of creatives, producers and designers across League, NFL Media and NFL Films.
Evaluate, hire and manage third-party resources, e.g. creative agencies; production companies; directors/producers; designers, etc., for concept development and production.
Ideate, develop, and support creative solutions for Ad Sales, Business Development and Sponsorship projects to unlock incremental revenue opportunities outside of ad buys.
Oversee budgets and optimize creative resources and internal/external to create efficiencies and collaboration across NFL internal groups.
Incubate/oversee execution of new concepts surrounding key Media initiatives (eg NFL Network properties, TNF, Fantasy, Draft, Combine) or targeted segments (eg Millennials, Avid Fans, Players, Talent) to help drive awareness, traffic, audience growth/fan engagement or consumption of Media properties.
+15 years in executive creative role at a global world-class creative agency, media organization, or challenger brand with 5+ years in a supervisor capacity managing people and budgets
Proven track record of breakthrough creative development and business success
Experienced in emergent digital visual design trends, including Print, OOH, Interactive, UI/UX, Email, Mobile and Social
Deep expertise in developing print, digital and broadcast campaigns for short form projects, TV shows, feature films or other sports/entertainment/consumer products
Advanced knowledge of creative development for advertising and promotional spots and content, along with knowledge of scripts and writing, graphics and music
Adept in the technical parameters across web, rich media, display, email, mobile, and social platforms
Solid strategic understanding of brand strategy and market positioning to ensure a consistently modern voice that is reflective of the NFL brand and strategies of NFL O&O properties
Outstanding collaborator who can work across multiple functions and internal orgs/teams with strong executive-level presence
Experience overseeing design of physical brand experiences for events such as Super Bowl, Comic-Con, SEMA, Draft, etc.
Appreciation of popular culture, and ability to contribute to an understanding of the interests of NFL traditional and digital audiences
Exceptionally strong leadership and management skills, polished and confident communicator with gravitas and outstanding presentation skills
Deep passion for storytelling, sports and football
Bachelor’s degree; MFA or advanced degree preferred
