Job Description
Position Title: Maintenance Service Technician
Summary: This position is responsible for washing/detailing company vehicles, assisting with building cleaning and maintenance, and lawn maintenance
Position Functions:
- Wash / Detail company vehicles
- The vehicle exterior, including windows and windshield, must be free of dirt, dust, residue and water marks after wash
- Company grounds maintenance
- The grounds, including lawns and landscaping, must be mowed, sprayed, weeded, etc. to maintain appropriate appearance
- Minor building maintenance
- Transport company vehicles to and from various locations
- Assist in keeping shop clean and maintained
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Prior experience required
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver's license, have a clean driving record, and be insurance eligible
Physical Demands:
- Work is light to medium
- Must have a full range of motion of extremities and trunk; must be able to reach, bend, twist, sit, climb, kneel, lift, handle and use tools and equipment and stand and walk throughout the day
- Must be able to communicate with employees and the public
- Technician will provide hand and / or power washing service for fleet vehicles, which includes but is not limited to the following:
- Washing and wiping dry all vehicle exterior surfaces
- Cleaning of tires and rims
- Cleaning all windows (inside and out) as well as window sills
- Clean / vacuum mats and all carpeted areas
- Removal of all trash and debris from vehicle interior
- Spot clean and wipe steering wheels, mirrors, dashboards, and seats
- Technician will provide grounds maintenance, which includes but is not limited to the following:
- Mowing and weed eating lawns, including the use of a zero-turn lawn mower
- Spraying and weed control
- Tending flower beds
- Raking, edging, pruning, mulching and other activities necessary to maintain grounds
- Work will involve both indoor and outdoor activity and may be in hot, cold, and / or wet conditions
- Hours may be long and irregular
