AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Water Resources Engineer for employment in the Atlanta, GA office. Under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer:
+ Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.

+ Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives

+ Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids

+ Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections within the Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD MEP

+ Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

+ Focus on Water Resources

+ Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling as part of the Risk Mapping, Assessment, and Planning (Risk MAP) program for the Federal Emergency Management Agency

+ Provides Quality Assurance and Quality Control for flood insurance study deliverables

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Environmental engineering or related field with an emphasis in Water Resources

0-2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software on projects or in internships

Strong Technical Writing skills

Good communication skills

Experience in a leadership role a plus

Task and time management skills

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred
