Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Align workload activities with shop capacity to improve execution of initiatives while delivering an exceptional customer experience
Guide cross functional teams to coordinate activities that will result in the rollout of communications and programs that are easy to understand and execute and have a direct and obvious link to the SmileDirectClub vision and customer experience objectives
Integral part of creating and implementing a strategic communication program that supports the business and field needs
Leads the communication team to ensure that all communication is relevant, compelling, customer focused, aligned with strategy, high quality, easy to understand/act upon and produces results
Implement and protect communication cascade and standards for delivery of programs to field teams
Review content for accuracy and completeness, development of effective messaging, and selection of appropriate vehicle and alignment with company vision and objectives
Establishes metrics to measure success
Assist in the development of a field workload planning process to ensure only essential, timely communication/projects are delivered
Ensure labor studies are conducted, maintained and used to assess workload requirements associated with key business activities
Leads the communication team to ensure compliance on communications processes, procedures, format and style
Manage approvals of budget, timelines, materials printing & distribution
Champion communication and workload planning programs throughout the company
Provide education and support as needed to help business partners understand the value of effective communication and workload planning concepts and enable them to efficient navigate the process
Offer insight on key metrics to align workload requirements with shop capacity, including potential sales and/or staffing impact
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

It will really make us smile if you have…

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related field
4+ years of relevant and progressive experience in communication (public relations, journalism, corporate communication or related fields) and project management; specialty retail industry preferred
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential

Experience with task management and online communication technology preferred
Flexible schedule and ability to travel, as needed (limited travel)
