Advocate Trinity Hospital has a rich and robust history, having served the health care needs of the communities, individuals and families in the southeast side of Chicago for more than 110 years, beginning in 1895 as South Chicago Hospital. In 1995, Trinity Hospital, part of the Evangelical Health Systems (EHS) merged with Lutheran General Health System to become the present day Advocate Trinity Hospital which is a 193 licensed-bed facility with approximately 300 physicians representing 50 specialties. Registered Nurse Cardiac/-Pulmonary Rehab
R.N. with 1~2 years monitoring experience.
Extensive cardiac monitoring experience.
Able to identify cardiac arrhythmias and be able to intervene when necessary.
Familiarity with cardiac
State of Illinois Registered Nursing License
ACLS within 6 months of hire
Ability to navigate between and around equipment easily
Ability to respond to an emergency quickly and efficiently
Ability to lift weight of a client if necessary and help in
transport and CPR
Ability to adapt well to changing circumstances
Ability to interact with patients, family, co~workers,
physicians and ancillary departments professionally
Willingness to keep current in new concepts in cardiac
If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.
Administers professional and technical nursing care to adult clients involved in
the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program.
Provides safe, effective exercise training and provide educational tools with
patient education requiring evaluative judgment and specialized knowledge.
Collaborates with Physician and multidisciplinary team to ensure
the highest standard of care.
Assurance of appropriate, safe, and effective exercise.
Responsible for conduction of exercise Classes
Provide educational tools and patient education
Providing Safe Environment for Exercise.
Participate in Professional Development and Contribution to CQI Atmosphere
