The Lean Transformation Specialist supports & coaches day-to-day performance improvement activities directly with team members for assigned departments and collaborates with leadership to promote continuous improvement initiatives. Leads and coordinates rapid improvement event (RIE) teams. Coaches continuous improvement activities leveraging & teaching appropriate methods. Healthcare experience highly preferred. This position reports to the Director of Process Innovation.
High school graduate or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in health related field or higher education highly preferred.
2 years related experience required

Exceptional communication skills (primarily verbal and listening) with ability to interact effectively across the organization, utilizing tact and diplomacy.
Demonstrated progressive development of related skills including process improvement, independent project management, and team leadership.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of operations management and knowledge of and experience with Lean system tools and implementation is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to take in new concepts, learn the essential methods and principles of Lean and other process improvement tools, and determine their appropriate application is required.
Healthcare experience required.
Must have ability to multi-task and use good judgment. Must have ability to facilitate a team to defined outcomes in a timely manner.
Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills required. Must be comfortable speaking in public and to various audiences. Competence using personal computer applications (email, Excel, Word, etc.) required.
