The Microsoft Alliance Lead is responsible for driving profitable growth through the execution of the platform strategy and the strengthening of the portfolio of services and solutions for the platform. They represent the Accenture platform externally, in the market and with our clients, positing Accenture as the market leader in the platform. They will establish a community of practice that creates a strong "esprit de corps" and that attracts the best talent to Accenture and the platform. The role holder is expected to be an expert in the platform area and able to provide broad expertise on functionally related business and technology issues. As applicable, they will also be responsible for maintaining the executive relationship with the alliance vendor and overseeing alliance activities.
Identify opportunities and drive business with existing and new clients for Accenture Federal Services (AFS) to leverage strategic technology Alliance offerings in client solutions.
Identify opportunities for vendors to leverage AFS’ services in vendor-driven sales efforts.
Responsible for origination and/or capture - as dictated by the opportunity.
Accountable for individual incremental pipeline and sales origination.
Collaborates with AFS Leadership in developing and executing the Alliance strategy.
Owns AFS strategic relationships and coordinates LLP and AFS Alliance strategy.
Develops communication strategies/messages, defines customer contact strategies and establishes/manages customer call plans.
Develops and sustains Accenture Federal Services and client executive relationships through market-facing activities (e.g., industry associations, boards, conferences), meetings, presentations, business networking and/or other business or social events. Engages clients, industry, SMEs, and teaming partners.
Build Alliance sales pipeline (Origination and Alliance Impacted Sales)
Supports/participates in activities throughout the sales process, as appropriate.
Supports client delivery and business development teams in building relationships with client decision makers and key influencers; shape opportunities within client and Accenture
10 years of experience with driving growth and platform strategy
6 years of experience in one or more of the following: Consulting, Business Process Outsourcing, or Information Technology services and markets including knowledge of competitive offerings
6 years of experience with relevant (i.e., Federal, State/Local Government) processes, procedures, and laws
6 years industry experience
4 years project management experience
High energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness and ability to work well under pressure
Strong facilitation and communication skills – both written and verbal
Proven record as a team player
Unquestionable integrity, credibility and character
Previous experience in conceptualizing, planning, and implementing new products or services for a large business entity
Strong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making abilities
Ability to interface and negotiate with Senior Leadership
Demonstrated success with originating and selling Accenture services
Demonstrated success in the Federal IT arena
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
