The Evaluation Systems group of Pearson is a leader in the development, administration, and scoring of teacher certification tests that are 100 percent aligned to state standards.
The scoring will take place at our San Antonio Pearson site, located on Bulverde Road. We are looking for scorers to help with the upcoming administration on May 14th through May 17th. The scoring projects last 3-5 days and are scheduled throughout the year. You would not be obligated to work every administration available, however applying for this position would place you in a pool of available scorers (given all requirements are met).
Principal as Instructional Leader (268) Scorer Qualifications
Applicants must meet all of the following:
Have at least three years of experience as a principal, vice principal, assistant principal, director, superintendent, assistant superintendent, or other district administrator role in the state of Texas
Have worked as a principal, vice principal, assistant principal, director, superintendent, assistant superintendent, or other district administrator within the last three years in the state of Texas
Reside in the State of Texas
Hold a master's degree
Comply with the ethical obligations under §SBEC 230.21 (g) including, but not limited to: An educator, candidate, or other test taker shall not:
A. Solicit information about the contents of test items on an examination that the educator, candidate, or other test taker has not already taken from an individual who has had access to those items, or offer information about the contents of specific test items on an examination to individuals who have not yet taken the examination; or
B. Otherwise engage in conduct that amounts to violations of test security or confidentiality integrity, including cheating, deception, or fraud.
Agree to NOT:
- Use training/experience as a scorer to receive compensation for any work in test preparation related to this assessment
- Take the exam you are scoring within 180 days of scoring
Must meet one of the following:
Hold a valid and current Texas certificate or license as a K–12 school principal or equivalent (e.g., principal, mid-management)
Be an EPP faculty member of a program, approved by the State of Texas, that offers Principal as Instructional Leader program(s)
Be a school administrator who has retired within the last three years and who held a certificate or license for that position
