Structured Finance – Credit Analyst, Senior Director – Specialized Structured Credit
Fitch Ratings is adding an experienced and highly motivated professional to the Structured Credit team as a Senior Director based in either of our New York or Chicago office locations. The position will report directly to the Head of Structured Credit and lead a team of individuals focused on new transaction proposals that incorporate securitization principals of various types of corporate debt, including corporate synthetic risk transfer, structured credit loan facilities, CLO lite structures, and other private credit transactions backed by corporate debt.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Supervise analytical teams to analyzing critical credit, legal, and structural elements of transaction proposals;
- Contribute to dynamic rating workflows by leading rating analysis on a portfolio of specialized structured credit transactions and engaging regularly with issuers, originators, and investors;
- Form analytical views and recommendations while coordinating a consistent rating approach across a broad group of internal constituents;
- Assist in the development of rating criteria, including forming recommendations to bolster analysis and iteratively improve existing frameworks;
- Lead and/or support sector trend research reports and projects.
What You Need to Have:
- Exceptional level of personal responsibility, appropriate initiative, and self-management;
- Ability to communicate complex subjects accurately and succinctly;
- Analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and attentiveness to detail;
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (finance, economics, engineering, etc.);
- 10+ years of experience in financial industry, preferably but not necessarily related to CLOs and Structured Finance.

- Demonstrated success in building and managing a growing business;
- Proficiency with rating agency methodologies and experience assessing credit risk;
- Outstanding reputation in the US Structured Finance industry.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $175,000 and $225,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
