Job Description:
Mighty Pilates Studio is looking for an energetic, outgoing and engaging front desk guest associate for a part-time position. Our studio is home to a refreshing and inviting environment located in Santa Monica on Montana Ave. We have built an amazing community and want someone to support the continued growth. The studio has a warm, casual feel but our classes are high-energy. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients. You will play a crucial part in creating a warm and welcoming environment and ensuring that every client's experience is exceptional.
We are looking for someone who has previous sales or retail experience, can work 2 - 4 shifts per week, and has evening (4:00-8:30 p.m.) availability. We offer an $18 hourly rate, some free staff classes monthly + $5 drop-ins, and sick-time accrual.
Guest Services are responsible for the following:
- Maintaining the Mind Body Online database, including but not limited to:
- checking in for classes
- making cancellations
- maintaining class and/or private appointment schedules
- setting up user profiles
- pulling attendance reports
- adjusting/rescheduling/canceling trainer class schedules where appropriate
- running client purchases
- adjusting errors in client's accounts, etc.
- Assisting trainers with studio schedules, shift coverage requests, and client information
- Selling Monthly Packages to prospects and upselling current clients
- Light reporting/marketing initiatives
- Social Media posts and reporting
- Moderate studio maintenance, cleaning, and organization of fitness rooms
- Working with building manager regarding building maintenance
- Keeping on top of studio supplies, paperwork on hand, paper schedules, etc.
- Being present at desk to field phone calls and assist walk-ins
- Welcoming new clients into studio, providing tours and health profile forms
- Maintaining healthy business by discussing class/private packages and options
- Answering client questions about classes, trainers, Pilates, etc.
- Being the face of Mighty and a welcoming first point of contact for clients!
The position is ideal for someone who is passionate about fitness, health, and wellness, and is excited to spend a couple of days a week in the studio environment. We are seeking people who have retail or sales experience, and are friendly, approachable and enthusiastic about helping our clients feel right at home. You will offer a wonderful guest experience before and after classes, assisting with questions and concerns while utilizing resourcefulness and business acumen to accomplish front desk duties.
Qualifications:
- Energetic, positive, friendly, caring
- Previous sales or retail experience
- 1+ year of experience Reception
- Interest in Pilates or personal fitness
- Passion for health and well-being
- Excellent computer skills
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and MindBody Online are a HUGE plus
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Regular evening and weekend availability is a MUST
- Social Media and/or Marketing Experience
