THIS IS AN OPS POSITION.
The Agency for Persons with Disabilities works in partnership with local communities to support people with developmental disabilities in living, learning, and working in their communities. APD provides critical services and supports for customers with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential. The Agency serves people with spina bifida, autism, Down syndrome, children age 3-5 at high risk of developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy, Prader-Willi syndrome, Phelan-McDermid syndrome, and intellectual disabilities. There is no charge or co-payment for services provided through the Agency.
The State of Florida participates in the VALIC National Plan for OPS employees. The VALIC National Plan includes two tax-qualified, defined-contribution retirement investment plans. Approved by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and offered by VALIC, Inc. (VALIC), the Plan is divided into two parts: the FICA Alternative Plan and the Special Pay Plan.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT:
It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
No applicant for a designated position will be employed or permitted to volunteer until the Level 2 screening results are received, reviewed, and approved by the Agency.
Level 2 background screening shall include, but not be limited to, fingerprinting for Statewide criminal and juvenile records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and Federal criminal records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and may include local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies.

This is a highly responsible professional position that provides critical work related to iBudget implementation activities. This position is responsible for the ongoing tracking, reporting, and developing legal notices to ensure that APD meets critical rule timeframes.
Prepares, mails, and tracks legal notices to clients that identify their iBudget Amount and basis for decision. Notifies consumers, representatives, and Waiver Support Coordinators about matters related to iBudget and cost plan reviews.
Screens service requests for missing information and issues notices related to missing documentation to consumers, representatives, and Waiver Support Coordinators.
Tracks multiple activities related to iBudget Implementation, including follow up and research related to specific cases with Region and Waiver Support Coordinators. Enters critical budget information into the iBudget system which allows individuals to access services.
Enters, tracks, and reports data related to iBudget Implementation completion activities.
Performs administrative and clerical duties related to iBudget Implementation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
