Joint Inflammation Modulation of Trauma Program (JIMoT)

San Antonio, Texas

This is a DoD research effort forcing on applied translational research aimed at reducing mortality and morbidity of severe combat casualty. Traumatic hemorrhage (TH) represents the leading cause of death from severe traumatic injuries in both military and civilian environments. TH accounted for 45-68% of U.S. military deaths in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and 90% of these deaths occurred prior to hospital arrival. Recent clinical and experimental studies have brought increasing evidence for activation of the innate immune system in contributing to the pathogenesis and adverse outcomes.

Our program is primary goal is to identify using animal models of TH and supporting clinical studies, selected immune-inflammatory molecules of therapeutic value to be administered early after injury in a pre-hospital setting. This work requires an expert understanding of molecular biology, protein biochemistry, immunology and medicine. Our Team member have experience in the field of medicine with educational degrees of Ph.D, M.D., M.S., B.S. or extensive experience in their particular technical areas of expertise.

Our client is in need of a Senior Research Technician II to aid in their mission.
